About this Episode
It's rare that we are recording the podcast as breaking news is happening, but that's how it went this week as the Saga of Virginia Democrat Governor Ralph Northam was unfolding as we were recording.
A photo of a man in blackface standing next to a person in a KKK robe was discovered on Northam's medical school yearbook page. At first Northam admitted to taking the photo. The next day, he said it wasn't him. And, while we were recording, Gov. Northam was holding a press conference to profess his innocence...while admitting to doing blackface another time in his life!
As Tony Katz notes, the photo is unacceptable. But why is this the story, as opposed to Gov. Northam's acceptance and support of infanticide?
It's a busy Eat! Drink! Smoke!, recorded live at Blend Bar Cigar in Indianapolis. Tony, joined by April D. Gregory and Fingers Malloy, review Stagg Jr. bourbon and the Avo Classic cigar.
When you go out to eat, do you do it for the food or for the experience? And why spend $50,000 on a bar mitzvah?
The differences between Baby Boomers, Gen X and Millennials became most obvious at a recent Fleetwood Mac concert.
